i sit here sometimes wondering where the time has gone. wasting my life away, waiting for something better. i wish that better would happen now.

Yesterday morning I went to Wimberley and took almost 4 rolls of film worth of pictures of people shopping for crafts. Everyone there was so cute and the vendors all seemed so glad to get their pictures taken next to their Christmas wreaths and candles. So sweet.
I picked Garrett up around noon and we headed to the Kickball tournament. 4 teams showed up but it was definitely better than nothing considering we didn't start advertising until a week before the tournament. It was awkward at the end though because I emailed Sarah the other night and told her I wasn't going to be a part if IC Austin after this weekend so that I could focus on my photos and Falling Whistles. Yesterday she pulled me aside to talk about it but I came away feeling like nothing changed. She told me she needed me to still host the UT meetings (even though no one comes and I spend an hour on Facebook waiting for people just in case), she asked me what "we" should do about the screening on Thursday, and said that "we" would be helping Jade with her fundraisers instead of having any more of "our" own this semester. So yeah, I'm not sure where I should be standing right now. Hmmm
Then Garrett and I went to Homeslice before watching Heima. I slept through all but the last 15 minutes- I was EXHAUSTED. Then we went to BookPeople to get ourselves depressed by looking at travel books.
Brett called and told me he and the boys would pick me up for Magnolia Cafe so I dropped Garrett off just before they picked me up. It ended up being me+Brett+Jordan+Rob+JasonBaker+Sarah+Ashley+Zane+so much foooooooooooood. We all shared queso, pancakes, breakfast tacos, pie and eggs. Mmmmmmmm gah I love Magnolia.
I totally have the most fun friends possible. I don't even remember what we talked about. Oh, but I do remember Rob and I making up some really awful Sesame Street story where they made Elmo a saint and Cookie Monster set him on fire and Oscar the Grouch just kept peering out of his trashcan and grumbling all the while. So lame but so funny at the time. And squeezing in between Jason Baker and Rob in the backseat while Jordan and Brett sing every single lyric to every single song totally in sync from the front seat. Total crush on Jason Baker, sweet kiddddddddd.
We were all going to have a Slumber Party but some folks forgot to bring extra clothes so everyone but Brett carpooled home. Sad day. We both showered and went to bed right when we got home after suuuuuch a good long day. He shared my bedroom with me (Kimmie was gone for the weekend so she let him use her bed) and slept and slept and slept.
This morning I woke up to chocolate chip pancakes. That boy can stay over any time as far as I'm concerned!
I then proceeded to spend 6 hours in the photo lab scanning and editing 2 negatives. Oh no, you read that right - TWO. I spent 3 hours on the first editing out dust and scratches but in the end I wasn't a huge fan of the print. But after 3 more hours on the second negative, I really liked what came out. Tomorrow I'll do the wet dark room print and be all set.

i snooped around my parents' room for my phone because he left me a message saying, "can you please find some way to call me tonight? i need you more than i ever have before." after rummaging for a good twenty minutes, i found it and called him. he immediately started complaining, which eventually turned to full-blown crying, because he'd missed a chance to meet his hero while his girlfriend got to. there wasn't anything i could really do, so i listened and reassured him he wasn't overreacting and i would be in the same position if that happened to me. he stopped talking and i could hear him typing for a while. finally he said, "i'm going to go. i don't even know why i called you of all people. it's not like you can do anything from a thousand miles away." he hung up without saying goodbye.
tonight makes it the hundredth time i've wanted to give up on him completely. i don't deserve to be treated this way, but i stay because i tell myself he needs someone. i stay because i need someone, and i want it to be him.
